Since 1958, IDP Corporation has provided technology-based software, hardware and data processing solutions tailored to the needs of the business community. Located in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina, IDP's service bureau division originally offered timesharing and batch processing services on General Electric computer systems, to clients in North Carolina as well as other states such as New York and Georgia.
Through the 70's and 80's, IDP evolved along with the computer industry, migrating software development and data processing services to Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-11/RSTS and VAX/VMS systems. At the same time, IDP expanded its services in the areas of custom application analysis, design, coding and implementation.
In the '90s and on into the new century, IDP continues to follow industry trends, taking advantage of the latest PC-based environments including Windows 2000 and SQL 7, while supporting data processing outsourcing customers with DEC Alpha systems and OpenVMS. We offer web development and database services, software applications for Windows business users, as well as custom application analysis, design and development services. We also continue to provide both online and batch data processing services for clients who find it more efficient or economical to outsource the solutions to their data processing needs.
