The Workdays preferences settings are used in conjunction with StatusView's Auto-QuickSet feature, to simplify the process of signing out of the office. Most people work a regular schedule; when you leave for the day, you'll be back at your normal starting time on the next workday.
You specify your normal workdays and starting times on the Workdays tab of the user preferences. These settings are used in conjunction with the Auto-QuickSet setting of "Next workday", which is usually associated with the status "Out".
Once you have done this, you can sign out of the office at the end of the day with a simple mouse click on the main In/Out Board display, and StatusView will automatically set the proper return day and time.
